The Seychelles University Foundation is an initiative of the President
of Seychelles, Mr. James A. Michel with a mandate to establish the
first University of Seychelles.
It is made up of prominent local
and international figures who are working jointly to develop a high
level institution for the benefit of local and international
students.
The purpose of the SUF is to prepare Seychelles to embrace
the coming of the University as well as to establish the very
foundations of the University of Seychelles.

SUF's sunset cruise |
The SUF organized a fun event as a part of the induction programme for the students commencing their Degree Courses as from the 1St October at the University of Seychelles. The events success is attributed to the generosity and support of Masons Travel who offered the Catalina for the occasion, Seybrew and Trois Freres Distillery with a supply of drinks and Skychef with sufficient food.
All this made the evening memorable for the students and faculty. |

The establishment of the University of Seychelles |
September 17, 2009 -- The University of Seychelles has arrived, two years after President James Michel shared his vision with the Seychellois people for the higher learning institution.
During a ceremony at State House today, President Michel was named the Chancellor of the University, and Dr. Rolph Payet is the Vice-Chancellor and President of the University. |
